Why You should work with me
"My Mission? Helping others bringing their dreams to reality, with passion, love and probably too much coffee."
"A unique aspect of working with Alka is that instead of being a one way conversation with an artist, it is a two way street where both you and her are excited for the finished piece together! She pours her absolute heart and soul into each piece and you will know and feel the love in every detail!"
~MouseyScara | Long-time Commissioner | Various TTRPG GM
"When I ordered the first Kingslayer artwork, I didn't have any plans beyond getting a neat design. But then Alka and I started tossing ideas back and forth, and those characters took on lives of their own with every minute she spent working on them. I loved how invested she got not only in their outward appearance, but also in who these characters could be"
~Kaleidechse | Long-time Commissioner | Kingslayer Author
"My favourite part of working with Alkahria was definitely the brainstorming between us. I presented her with a few words of inspirations for a character and by the end I not only got art with a refreshing style, but went home with a good chunk of new ideas and inspiration."
~Shevie| Long-time Commissioner | Starsworn Author
"Why you should work with Alkahria? Her sheer dedication to every masterpiece she brings to life. By the end of discussing and exploring new possibilities that I hadnt even consider, you could feel it: the amount of heart and consideration put into every detail."

~ Somehwere at the BBHG headquarters~"If anyone sees this caricature of a merchant, you shall bring him to me!" The voice arising over the normal chatter of a lively marketplace belonged to a young woman. She was standing tall, and her rabbit-like ears gave her another few centimetres, to even overshadow the tallest guardians around. She grunted at the other merchant, who lifted his hands as a defending gesture, suggesting, that Nowaki - as the name of the young huntress was - should maybe try another kind of potion set, that he had still in store. But Nowaki denied and wanted the hard-earned money back, that she had spent to get a uniquely made potion set for the next bounty hunt she would attend at, rightfully so. The other merchant, a man of small stature and lighted hairline, put his glasses back in place before he lifted a big wooden box onto the table.Dozens of smaller and bigger bottles, available in as many colours as you can imagine, were placed under Nowakis watchful eyes."M'Lady, this is the storage that I have, and I can assure you, when my brother comes home I will make sure to clear this situation, and you will get back the gold you have spent
on your order. He is....he is not in the best mental state for a while now and-" Nowaki already lifted her eyebrows and wanted to answer something, probably not as friendly, but the merchant intervened."-this does not mean that this would excuse his behaviour our should come at your cost, not at all! I just wanted to say, I cannot magically bring back him or make the potions you ordered. So, please, have a look and see what might be of use for you, and when you come
back, I will have your order ready, yes? Please?" The merchant wrung his hands and
Nowaki felt bad for a moment, causing such a fuzz over a few bottles of liquids. She sighed. Not only was his brother not in his best state of the art, but Nowaki herself was unbelievably stressed, about the bounty hunt to come. She nodded in a peaceful manner, and could see how the merchant relaxed a little."Do you have something in here for fighting against a highly intelligent beast?" she asked, pointing at the wooden box.
"A highly, intelligent beast, you say. Let me see." He started to sort through all the bottles and flasks, some of them glowing softly, some of them glittering or shimmering in various colours. If the young woman knew something by now, it was that you never ever -EVER- should judge a potion by its colour or appearance. It could end up very lethal for you."Here, this one might do." He handed her a bottle that held a deep green potion. In it, you could see lighter green sparks flickering with the movement of the substance."It will probably not knock the beast unconscious, but it will slow down his thinking and make it feel....wobbly."
"Wobbly?" she asked.
"Wobbly." he nodded.
Nowaki nodded and turned the flask in her hands."How many of these do you have?" The merchant raised his eyebrows.
"How big is the creature you are after? This flask can handle an animal up to a bull's size
with ease." The merchant tilted his head a little, and Nowaki could see that he too had made contact with creatures bigger than that. But she would delay the question for now."We are after a creature, that is experienced in fighting, as much as to use weapons and-" Nowaki answered, but got interrupted abruptly."You are out to bring Scorpio back, am I right?" There was a glimmer in the eyes of the merchant, watching her carefully, while packing her order. The young woman lifted her eyebrows.
"How do you-" she whispered.
"My son is befriended with Lauriel, the good soul. He told me that Scorpio left the HQ about three weeks ago, in something like a storm rage, after it sensed something. I also heard rumours from villages outside, that they have seen it. Scorpio was hunting day and
night and would not stop wandering around, for any rest or sleep at all. It really must be bad out there." Nowaki nodded, he knew by far too much to even try and deny what he had revealed."Whatever is out there, we will find Scorpio and see what happened. But I agree with you,it must be important. Scorpio is not the only one, behaving weird these days..." The merchant nodded, lifted his glasses and prepared a bag of multiple flasks with the green potion inside, before handing it over the counter to the young lady. She bid him goodbye before taking her turn to leave, vanishing in the crowds that roamed the marketplace. The headquarters was preparing, even when Seth did not say so. She felt it.
~ 5 days later; somewhere in the northern areas of the headquarters ~
"Ough, we are out here in the midst of nowhere, for freaking five days! And we got not a single clue!" Resignation and frustration were displaying all over Kai's face, when she walked the path up to a hill, her legs covered in snow up to her knees. The journey was exhausting. Walking in full armour, with all the backpack stuff and her weapons. She grunted. If there wouldn't be a moment to rest and some warm food in her hands, within the next couple of hours, the young huntress would probably have to murder someone. Especially someone who would get on her nerves."Don't let it sound, as if we would walk in the wrong direction, or that our mission was about to fail." Nowaki answered, her view fixated on the map she held in her freezing hands."Ya~ well, but it might be exactly that!?" Kai's head turned around, and she looked into the eyes of Nowaki, a befriended huntress, who was assigned with her to this group. Nowaki stopped walking, and there was this emotion in her face that Kai hated even more than someone taking away her food."Ahw, are you giving up? Is it too cold, for the fiery-flamy-heating-like-a-vulcano-Kai?" she mocked her, and wouldn't it be for their friendship, Kai would have probably turned around and thrown herself into Nowaki, clearing this conversation the old way. But with a situation like this, the red haired brawler pouted, before she released a deep sigh."I mean, don't you also have this weird feeling, that something is off?" She asked, while Nowaki caught up to her. The young huntress with the bunny ears tilted her head a little, before she nodded, lost in thoughts."Yeah. Yeah, I do. But that is also why you must come with us, regardless of the temperatures and your assigned duties at the royal palace of Camulada. You are, by
whatever reason from your past, the only one here who has this required dept of an understanding of what drives creatures to behave how they do." She took a cookie out of her little pocked hanging on her belt and handed it to Kai. Trying to protest, Nowaki simply stuffed it into Kai's mouth. The rations were spare and the days long, but she would not let her friend become even more hangry, just for the sake of a cookie."T-thenksch."
"No problem." Nowaki answered, walking further up the little path, which led them through a snowy forest, up to a forest glade. The huntress kneeled, putting aside some fallen leaves and tree branches. Her questioning view, the eyebrows lifted and a small wrinkle in-between them, also made Kai stop and kneel."What do you think this is?" Nowaki asked, pointing to a whole in the snow that looked like a footprint, but it had a strange vibe to it. Kai lowered her right hand, but instead of touching the ground as she would normally do, she kept her hand hovering over the ground."This does not feel right. That does not even look right." Something dark glimmered in the air above the print, and the young woman felt an unnerving itching on the skin of her hand, swiftly taking the hand back."We should be careful." Nowaki stated, while both huntresses stood up and continued their walk towards the snowy grassland in front of them. The further they came, the more chilling the atmosphere became. Both traded a gaze at one another, slowly taking out their weapons. They had not been friends for too long, but during three years they had completed a good dozen of quests and knew the body language of their partner. But what they also knew, was the fact that they had been split from the rest of the squad for about two days now. The group had been separated to find clues faster. Scorpio could be in grave danger, and nobody knew exactly what the rumours and events of the past month had foreshadowed. Someone was searching and hunting for mighty creatures, which could only mean that they had to be even more powerful. Both walked slowly further, stalking their surroundings, while Kai carried her Flamenberge two-hand-sword and Nowaki held her combat glaive ready to jump into the action. Kai looked at the ground and grunted, confused, letting Nowaki come closer and covering her back. With
her right foot, she shoved aside some snow, revealing a dark mist, that had been hiding below the layer of white icy fascination."What by the gods-" Kai was startled for a moment, when the mist escaped her watchful eyes, hiding further away in the knee-high mass of winter snow. Did it react to her? Did it see her!?"Judging by your confused noises and words, you have no good news to share, I assume?" Nowaki was standing back-to-back with Kai, watching over the space in front of her."I would not say that I understand what I saw, but I would go as long as to say, that we are in trouble." Kai answered, hearing Nowaki growling and sparks of her fire weaving crackling in the air, breaking the unnerving silence."Do you hear that?" Kai asked.
"Hear what?" The glaive fighter asked.
"Exactly. There is nothing. Silent as a grave... No birds, no wind, no-" And then everything went fast.
The dark mist arose from the snow, shooting up into the air, filling the space around the hunters into a moody, nearly pitch-black cocoon.
Snarling, growling, howling. Multiple creatures of unidentified species came closer, surrounding both young woman. A snap here, a frightening full-teeth-exposed gritting there."I think we can skip the friendly introduction, what do you think?" Kai looked into some red glowing eyes, more than six pairs stared at them, walking in circles. Their bodies were massive, of a feline nature, but their art of walking was obscure, unnatural even."I think, every time I am out here with you, we get stuck into some new trouble! And it's never the easy one!!" Nowaki blocked an incoming bite attack with her glaive, giving the
beast a good strike with its sharp edge."Ohhh, don't pretend as if you don't like to face some challenges with me, and give them your all. You seemed pretty bored the past weeks! " Kai blocked another feline-like creature jumping onto her and kicked it with a whimpering sound further away, just to move back into
her two-sword-stance."You might be right on that. And I want to reach the outpost alive." Nowaki admitted, and Kai could hear the crackling sound of her fire waving grow stronger. She grinned, while her left arm, starting at the fingertips, began to change. Claws made of shining hot material grew
from her nails, while the base of her hand grew into a monster-typical shape. Flames reached up into the air, crawling up to her elbow. The ground below her lost all its snow to the rising temperature. Cracks opened up, and the stone below Kai's body gave in under the sudden
heavy weight of her. Lava veins unearthed and flames coming from it lightened up the dark field they had been standing in. The mist seemed to dislike the fire, and its flowing layers backed off slightly. Now her eyes glowed as red as the ones staring back at her. Just the
golden slit pupils made a difference."Then let us bring this to an end. I am still hungry." she growled, as both huntresses charged forward onto their enemies, leaving them no more time to stalk them. Who knew what eyes were truly staring at them from the far distance...~ Thank you for reading~
